An educational (and fun) email by Copywriting Course. Enjoy!
Swipe:
Let's "Vibe-Market" an ad together!! Vibe-Marketing is where you just tell ChatGPT to make something, and keep correcting till you get the right result.
I'm gonna start with this famous Shackelton ad from 1912:

I'll tell ChatGPT to apply it to copywriting course....
"Remake this ad, but for CopywritingCourse.com, make it fun like Neville Medhora, feel free to modify the image of the ship, and make it promote entering Copywriting Course, a place where you go to get your marketing taken down and rebuilt up again, make it sound like the Shackelton ad."
RESULT:

Then I prompted it to be better:
"Make it more positive, and make the ship have some marketing logos or pencil logos on the sales."
RESULT:

Then I styled it more like an old-timey ad:
"Make this in black and white and gray stippling style, and make the text more old timey looking."
RESULT:

Suuuureee some of the text is a bit funky, but with quick prompts it fixes those.
Just 3 years ago it would've taken DAYS to do something like this and many SPECIALIZED SKILLS...now in 2 minutes I vibe-marketed this ad!
Wisdom:
Here's how to solve any problem with first principles:

This easy chart defines how you can solve pretty much any problem through first principles by breaking it down into it’s small pieces.
You can also tell ChatGPT to use this chart and give you the results on a problem.
Interesting:
I saw this robot patrolling a construction site in Austin, it's so cute!
It doesn't pose any physical threat, but it says to a possible burglar, "Hey we're watching this area and someone will probably see you" which is enough.
Burglary is a crime of opportunity, and just knowing there's a little Wall-E-looking robot patrolling could be enough to deter a casual thief:

I recorded 3 podcasts in the past 2 weeks. One of my favorite things about doing these is that I can selfishly asks questions I want to know. I’m glad I get to share these with you!

Essay:
At AppSumo, we emailed nearly a million people every day.
But instead of getting flagged as spam…people loved opening the emails!
Here’s the framework I invented to make that happen:
70% content, 30% sales

Many daily email newsletters sell too hard, don’t provide enough value, they’re boring, and they get unsubscribed fast.
If every email is just a pitch, people tune out.
But if it TEACHES them something — even while selling — they actually look forward to opening it.
So what does “70% content” look like? Like this:

Let’s say we’re promoting a new tool, the email might include: • How people are using it • What industries it’s working for • How it helps people make money • Real examples + use cases
Then the final 30% is simple: “Here’s the deal. Click here to get it.”
By this point, they’ve already gotten value — even if they don’t buy.
So it doesn’t feel like a pitch. It feels like discovery.
This simple formula is how we sent a daily sales email to 1,000,000+ people without burning the list.
70% content. 30% sales.
Share this concept with the writers in your life.
Splurge:
I swear the key to (me personally) getting a good sleep at night is to have a book I look forward to reading!
The last few weeks this has been an awesome hard science fiction book I've been loving:

It’s hard to find a book that’s INTERESTING the whole way through and so far this one has been!
Have a great Friday!
Sincerely,
Neville Medhora
