memorable vintage FedEx print ad

FedEx didn’t just ship a package. They shipped a joke. This ad answers the age-old question “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” with a hilarious twist that promotes their speed and reliability.

Marketing Analysis

The ad nails humor with clarity. The chicken just walked out of a FedEx box, meaning FedEx delivered it first. The message? FedEx delivers fast. No confusion, no long explanations—just instant understanding and a smile.

Why It Works

• Uses a familiar cultural question for instant recognition
• Visual punchline delivers the “speed” message fast
