This is a classic piece of advice I love to give 👉🏼

Become a "Triple Threat."

This means you know 3 different skills at roughly 75% proficiency.

Having multiple skills better "arms" you for the real world:

Especially in a time when technology is changing fields at such a rapid pace, being a Triple Threat is even more useful.

Get good at 3+ things!

I really like when data is shown in novel ways, and one of my favorites lately is mapping. Like this:

I think it's neat how much information is conveyed with a simple map and some clever editing!

Another one of my favorite types of marketing is an image with text markup, like this:

Some of the best ads on social media use this technique to show the product AND describe it in a single image, like these Delonghi coffee machine ads:

I love the use of an image of the product + text markup on each.

Essay:

Can you simply describe your own product/service with this Feature, Benefit, Experience Framework?

Example 1:
• Feature: Sun cream.
• Benefit: No sun burn.
• Experience: A burn free summer.

Example 2:
• Feature: Blackjack Guide.
• Benefit: Win more money than your friends.
• Experience: Bragging rights from your weekend in Vegas.

Example 3:
• Feature: QMS building framework.
• Benefit: Connect, Organize and Visualize your QMS data.
• Experience: Faster management decision-making than your competitors.

Example 4:
• Feature: Micro exercises.
• Benefit: No burnout.
• Experience: A refreshed mind and body.

One of my yearly goals is to make SwipeFile.com a modern publicly-shared swipe file for digital marketers, copywriters, and business owners:

Old-school swipe files were big stacks of paper and envelopes filled to the brim with old ads and random pieces of marketing like this:

A new version of a swipe file would include tons of digital stuff in various mediums like text, images, audio, video:

Then a lot of that collection and curation ends up in this email you're reading right now, which hopefully is a combination of helpful and interesting:
