Harnessing Visual Hierarchy in Infographic Design

This infographic of dogs sprinting across a turquoise background is more than cute—it’s a lesson in movement and hierarchy. The designer lined up breeds from slowest to fastest, making your eyes naturally follow from left to right. No arrows, no labels shouting at you, just smart visual design.

Why it works

The bright background creates contrast, making every dog pop.
Visual hierarchy guides the viewer’s eye through the story.
Consistent direction builds momentum and energy.
Clean typography keeps it readable without distraction.
