🎤 The SWIPES Email (Friday, January 23rd, 2026)

Swipe:
Can you make what YOU sell into an awesome "us versus them" style photo? Because it will help you differentiate your product:

I collect soooo many of these "us versus them" style photos because these do great in ads, Amazon listings, and social media.
See if YOU can use some of these as inspiration on your own marketing!

Wisdom:
The company I use for email (Kit) is big on promoting "flywheels" in all your content.
That means if you make a piece of content, it should feed into another part of your business....like this:
![]() |
An easy example is this email you're reading right now is part of a flywheel!
I send out this email.
⬇
I make blog posts out of each section.
⬇
I send those blog post out via social media.
⬇
I make videos about the top social media.
⬇
More people see the content and signup.
⬇
Now I have more subscribers.
⬇
My previous best stuff gets sent to new subscribers.
I used to NOT have everything in a flywheel....so when I'd create a weekly newsletter the content would just go out into the ether and disappear a quiet death.
Now the content can travel all across the internet. Out of 10 posts, 6 will do meh, 3 will do ok, and 1 might really pop!
However if I keep this flywheel going, the content-luck-surface area increases.
Interesting:
It's fascinating that as fast as computers are, these still keep doubling in power roughly every 18 months as observed by "Moore's Law."

My dad went to Berkley in the 1970's to study engineering, and by the time I got my first computer in the year 2000 that single desktop computer had more computing power than nearly the whole Earth did in the early 1970's.
So imagine how much compute a giant data center has right now, and imagine that is in your pocket or glasses in the next few years 🤯
Picture:
I have a ~10 week old son and I'm completely obsessed with him :)
I have a million-gazillion pictures and videos of him but here's a few:
With a big Chinese Good Luck Cat:

I took his baby gym into my real gym to workout together 🤣

He's literally the size of a stuffed animal:

We've been taking him to lots of places and he's done great:

He's been such a fun addition to our family :)
Essay:
One of my favorite marketing concepts is the legendary copywriter Joseph Sugarman (RIP) who wrote out all the "psychological triggers" that make people buy.

Here's his full list of Psychological Triggers:
#1.) Feeling of Involvement or Ownership
#2.) Honesty
#3.) Integrity
#4.) Credibility
#5.) Value and Proof of Value
#6.) Justify the Purchase
#7.) Greed
#8.) Establish Authority
#9.) Satisfaction Conviction
#10.) Nature of Product
#11.) Current Fads
#12.) Timing
#13.) Desire to Belong
#14.) Desire to Collect
#15.) Curiosity
#16.) Sense of Urgency
#17.) Instant Gratification
#18.) Exclusivity, Rarity or Uniqueness
#19.) Simplicity
#20.) Human Relationships
#21.) Guilt
#22.) Specificity
#23.) Familiarity
#24.) Hope
These triggers pretty much encapsulate almost every reason why someone would buy a produce or service.
It's super helpful to peruse this list when looking for an "angle" to sell a product.
