A guy from Germany who runs this Piano University (that does awesome numbers)....after coming to one of our Office Hours I suggested he try an ad in the "before/after style" to promote his page.
Well, turns out this this ad ended up being the highest performing ad for his US audiences by far! Here was the ad he made based off my swipes:

There's something about this before/afterstyle of ad that in a single square explains why you should join.
Wisdom:
This image is so true. You really regret the things you DIDN'T attempt.

Interesting:
This was a refreshingly HONEST ad from Krispy Kreme from about 13 years ago:

They were open to admit that maybe eating a full box of Krispy Kreme everyday isn't great for, but an occasional doughnut here and there won't kill you.
Picture:
My son is a little over 4 months old now, and it's a fun phase where's he's learning a lot of new things, and definitely smiles a lot now:

We've been taking him out a lot and he's done great:

Although sometimes it's at very loud places so we got him some baby headphones and they look hilarious 🤣

Being able to make him laugh is really fun:

He's outgrowing old clothes quickly....we tried this outfit on him and it was skin tight on our chunky little guy!

Soaking up all the little sweet moments with him:

Current task is getting him to do a lot of tummy time and strengthen everything:

Essay:
With AI a lot of "moats" are being drained right now.
Previously if you built a piece of software for your business, that was your "moat" to protect you from competitors (because it costs time and money and talent to build software so it was hard to replicate):

Now someone can just tell AI "Make me a similar software to ____" and it'll do it....and it's getting faster/better/cheaper.
So now having a custom piece of software isn't a super strong moat anymore, and rapidly eroding!

In this clip they talk about 8 different "moats" that can still be protected:
For example #7 Physical Infrastructure:
Something like Amazon AWS runs the bare metal servers of the internet, so to erode their moat you'd need to build millions of sqft of data centers. This would be difficult, take time, cost a lot of money, and take a lot of people....meaning it's still a difficult moat for most people to drain.
The moat structure in the coming years will change. So pay attention to areas with:
1.) Hard to find or proprietary data.
2.) Complex workflows
3.) Tough regulation.
4.) Distribution capture.
5.) Strong ecosystem.
6.) Network effects.
7.) Physical infrastructure.
8.) Scale that's hard to match.
Splurge:
I made another Franken-Desk for myself except this time upstairs in my house!
A few weeks ago I built two new desks downstairs by slapping a desk top onto adjustable height legs:

I did the same thing upstairs with a larger desk (60" long). I also drilled tons of holes in the desk so all the cables go straight into the desk. This was a smart move, it looks so much cleaner with no cables!

The entire setup has just one cable that plugs into the wall, everything else is contained inside the desk:

My wife works at home as well, AND we have a baby, so having multiple working spaces around the house is very helpful.
I also added a different reading chair next to it:

It was a fun project to put together :)
Hope you have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Neville Medhora
