An educational (and fun) email by Copywriting Course. Enjoy!

I love a good image that "POPS" a concept into your head really fast.
Here's some example of how something like Starship (via SpaceX) is so big, but people don't realize just HOW big without seeing in person:

....or this image which compares the cargo-carrying portion of Starship to a human and Cyber Truck:

"Writing by committee makes everything shitty."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
A big problem when writing or creating for a big company is your copy will go through many layer of bureaucracy, and evvveerryyoonnnee wants to give notes on it.
It ends up becoming unusable garbage that gets no attention.
If you're ever writing copy or coming up with great marketing, set a max of 1, 2, or maaaybbee 3 people making it.
Interesting:
My office is one of the favorite rooms in my house!
It's hard to get on camera, but the lighting design gives it an awesome "warm" vibe at the push of a button:

The fun thing is looking at this room before it was decked out with wallpaper and rugs and furniture:

Last night I went to an "All-In Pod Meetup" where one of the hosts (Jason Calacanis) showed up and gave a Q&A:

There were 200+ people there for this:

The really interesting thing is how it is thrown:
The organizer is Alice Huang, and when she moved to Austin she started three meetups for different popular podcasts:
- Austin All-In Podcast Meetup
- Austin My First Million Podcast Meetup
- Modern Wisdom by Chris Williamson Podcast Meetup
Now the smart thing is she gets to piggyback off the success and reach of these big podcasts.....and often times the hosts of those podcasts will pop-in, and Alice is the organizer so they get to know her!

Honestly it's one of the smartest ways I've seen someone use to fast-track a relationship with someone they admire!
Instead of hosting her own "entrepreneur meetup" where she'd have to cultivate an audience on her own, by throwing a meetup about something with an existing fanbase she has:
- Skipped the part about needing to build an audience.
- The podcast owner is often happy to promote the meetup.
- The podcast owner will often show up to the meetup.
So smart!

For about $3,000 a month I’m able to create & distribute more content, to more people, than a 100+ person organization 30 years ago.
$750: Studio & producing.
$1,500: Clips & social media uploading.
$800: Misc admin / Pod Software / YouTube / Editing Software.
In the past this would've taken:
- Editors
- Typesetters
- Many writers
- Outreach People
- Assistants and Secretaries
- Account execs and much more
It's just neat to think that you can get more YouTube views than a local TV station, get more Podcast listeners than a radio station, get more reads than a newspaper....all by yourself with a small computer.
Technology has allowed us to do what 100+ people used to do.
Think about what 100+ people can do now, in 20-30 years you might be able to do that by yourself. COOL!
Splurge:
Take a guess what this countdown is for....

Hint: It's the best time of the year to join us 😏
Have a great Friday!
