This was a hilarious billboard that went up in Times Square that DEFINITELY caught attention because it didn't look like any other billboard around:

People look at things that are novel, and something like this TOTALLY stands out against the backdrop of fancy billboards.

I would also like to point out that this was bad grammar all throughout and it still worked great!

I've had to battle the grammar police my whole career because people get so upset if you don't use PERFECT grammar 😬

Wisdom:

I try to write my goals out every month and limit them to about 3 goals. For example these are my goals for October 2025:

Something that really helps we figure out my goals is simply writing them out and describing them. Sometimes while writing a goal I'll mid-way think, "Meh this isn't a very worthy goal" and pick something else.

Here's what I wrote out for October 2025:

GOAL 1.) AI uploader for SwipeFile.com adding great posts.
I find so much good stuff I wanna save while browsing the web, but the problem is taking the time to title, describe, tag, and comment on each of these posts. At SwipeFile we have 3 posts go out a day, so that means ~21 things a week to post….it’s kind of like making 21 little blog posts a week.

So to lighten this load we use AI to assist.

THE PROBLEM IS the first version worked really really well….but wrote really really crappy stuff 😂

So the goal is to get this to about 90% human proficiency. We are almost there, as the AI uploader is doing wayyyyyyyy better now.

GOAL 2.) Simplify CopywritingCourse project.
This is a project to simplify all the moving parts of CC. We’ve already done a few things:

  • Remove the Framer-designed homepage and brought it into our forum software. Now everything is on one system instead of separate.

  • Massively reduced the number of menu items.

  • Consolidated Profile Page, Journal, and Dashboard into one page.

  • Started moving videos from Wistia to a CDN. We have more control over the videos and our hosting bill will go massively down.

This is all in an effort to make it easy to use as possible. We use a heavily modified forum to run Copywriting Course (so people can post their copy and multiple writers can give feedback), but forums love to add looottss of features we don’t really need. So much of the simplification is simply just removing features that are cool but not needed.

GOAL 3.) SwipeFile on page time +20%
Every month we try to make SwipeFile pages better, and with the addition of all our AI modules we’re hoping people get way more out of each page, and therefore spend more time on each page.

I find it funny how so many people hate on Baby Boomers for having the most money.....they are the oldest (non-retired) generation! It just totally makes sense.

They've had the longest to save and invest. GenX will soon take that place.

A lot of this is about using discipline to make your body and mind the best it can be.

These vintage Rolex ads show that no matter what awesome rich guy activity you're doing.....you'd be wearing a Rolex.

The scuba diving thing also implies the Rolex is tough and ultra water resistant.
