What do you think of this marketing take on unemployment?

The biggest lie we are all telling ourselves: AI will not lead to mass unemployment, it will just make us more efficient. Simply not true. Mass unemployment is coming to sales, marketing, customer support, success. We have to face reality.

I personally think there’s 3 different types of marketing:
- Low end
- Medium end
- High end

The low end stuff will (and already is) dominated by AI. Medium end stuff will get better aided by AI. High end is still not being replaced.

Positive Aspects

The blog post cleverly segments marketing into three distinct categories: low end, medium end, and high end. This simple framework provides clarity and helps readers quickly grasp where they might fit in or where they should aim to position their marketing efforts. The brief yet insightful analysis of AI's role at each level sparks curiosity and encourages readers to think about how automation and technology are reshaping the marketing landscape.

Key Takeaways

  • Marketing can be categorized into low end, medium end, and high end, each with different characteristics and challenges.
  • AI is taking over low-end marketing tasks, offering efficiency and cost savings.
  • Medium-end marketing is enhanced by AI, allowing for better creativity and strategic execution.
  • High-end marketing remains a human domain, where creativity and nuanced understanding are irreplaceable by AI.

Additional Insights

When thinking about how AI will shape the future of marketing, imagine AI as your trusty sidekick. It's there to handle the mundane, repetitive tasks at the low end, freeing up humans to strategize and innovate. But just like Batman needs Robin, marketers will always need their unique human touch to create those high-end, memorable campaigns that resonate on a deeper level. It's a bit like the difference between a mass-produced pop song and a live symphony orchestra performance—AI can help with the beats, but the soul of the music remains a human endeavor.
