Headline --> Grabbing Image --> Copy

This has been a winning ad formula for decades, like this:

Basically the big headline and image work together to grab attention, so you're motivated enough to read the longer more descriptive copy:

Wisdom:

This is a cool screenshot on selling from Matt Gray:

It's kind of hard to read on a small screen, so here it is in text:

Stop Selling. Start Helping.

1) Lead With Curiosity
In sales, it's best to ask open-ended questions:
• "What are you looking to achieve?"
• "Tell me about your current situation."
• "What made you book this call?"

2) Clarify Their Challenges
Some great follow-up questions:
• "Tell me more about your situation."
• "What happens if this doesn't get solved?"
• "How long has this been an issue?"
• "What impact does that have on your life?"

3) Co-Create Their Ideal Outcome
Help them paint a picture of what success looks like:
• "What's the ultimate goal here?"
• "What would this allow you to do?"

4) No Manipulation
I never use:
✘ Fake scarcity → "Only 2 spots left!"
✘ False urgency → "Price doubles tomorrow."
Be radically honest about your solution.

5) Contrast Cost of Inaction vs. Investment
Most people are afraid of making change. Ask them:
• "If nothing changes, where will you be in 6 months?"
• "What would inaction cost you?"

6) Present Your Solution As The Bridge
After going through the steps, transition into the bridge:
• "Based on what you've shared, I think I can help because of my experience in solving their problem."
• "Here's how we'll get you to [their ideal outcome]."

Interesting:

I'm not the biggest sports guy in the world, and with all this World Cup stuff going on I never understood how the matches were setup.....until I saw this chart!

Something about this chart made it so easy to understand how the World Cup is setup. I love when a simple image conveys so much info.

Picture:

My little man is now 8 months old, and he's in such a fun age :)

8 months old!

Mornings with dad:

Morning family walk to coffee shop:

His new toy is a box with holes in it:

It's pretty fun :)

Look at his big ole cheeks!

A nice sauna session.
(jk it's not on)!

He can lean-stand against stuff:

Happy 4th of July!

Essay:

"Content Marketing" at it's core is when you put out a piece of content and someone consumes it.

Like this:

1.) Someone is searching or browsing:

2.) They come across your content:

3.) They (hopefully) take an action like signing up or buying:

The problem is content lives in a gazillion different places now.

In order to get in front of all the big audiences out there you have to put content eeevvvveeryyywwhheereee:

The major benefit of this is that if you put out the right kind of content, you can attract the right audience to your product from many different places:

I'm curious, where do YOU primarily want traffic from?

My personal answer would be YouTube, X, and LinkedIn. Reply with your answer.

Splurge:

Kit (what I use for sending email) has been growing it's monetization platform with sponsors and it's interesting to me as a publisher.

For example in my account right now I can select from 6 sponsors to drop in this email, and for every click I get $1.14 from these sponsors:

For example, if you click this ad for Klaviyo I actually get $1.53 per click:

Now generally if I work out a deal with a sponsor I'll get a better cost per click than this.....BUT it doesn't account for the many meetings and crap I have to go through to setup a sponsorship.

So it's pretty cool to see a product like this where someone can instantly monetize their email list.

Hope you have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Neville Medhora
