Dharmesh Shah, founder of the giant public company HubSpot gives advice that it's often best to go after a problem that has a strong market need first.
Many people just try to develop any old product first, and sometimes miss if there's strong market demand for it :
If you build a cool product, but people don't really need it....then it may as well be a crappy product :-/
Wisdom:
This is solid advice that sometimes you will be tired, and instead of backing away you should just do it tired.

I remember an interview with Jayden Smith and his father Will Smith (this was pre-slap 🤣) when Jayden was filming the Karate Kid sequel. Will Smith was explaining to Jayden that even though he was super tired, he was a professional, and that means sometimes you have to still do your work and show up on time even if you're tired.
Being tired isn't always an excuse. You can power through it.
Interesting:
I saw some good design advice that LARGE NUMBERS in your pitch deck design makes everything so much more impactful:

Like this:
For example that "$100M" and "10X" really stand out and make an impact on the slide!
Picture:
I saw this awesome Beavis and Butthead as hipsters (or something) outside of Hotel Vegas in Austin during SXSW.
The Mural reads "The Real World Hotel Vegas."

The reason I decided this was post-worthy was because like EVERYONE walking by was taking pictures with this mural, so clearly it was working...even on me!

Essay:
There's too damn many social platforms!
For this reason I use post schedulers, and wanted to find more and test them out.

1 - Wrote my own (Jason Cohen of WPengine literally wrote his own scheduler bc none of them did exactly what he wanted)!
I've long used HypeFury, but that was when posting Twitter threads was a big thing. I needed more flexibility so lately I'm using Buffer.

If you follow along on my social media's you'll see all posts scheduled by Buffer for the next few weeks:
Splurge:
I went to a conference recently, I knew a lot of people there, and many of them asked "How is selling a COURSE going? Isn't it harder now??"
This made me realize something:
I don't think most people know Copywriting Course is more a service than a course!
I also realized this wasn't super reflected in our main sales page:
![]() |
Today one of my main tasks will be updating the copy to be more forward about the service part of Copywriting Course, where we take your first draft of a piece of marketing, then multiple people review/re-write, and it ends up being much stronger.
![]() |
I actually think a "service" component is almost a must-have for anyone selling a course now, as free information is better than ever. Selling "just" a course alone is going to be a tough proposition.
I talk about "Familiarity Blindness" all the time with clients. When you look at your own page 1,000 times it becomes difficult to update it. But when you loom at someone else's page it's instantly easy to update it because you're looking at it for the first time!
Have a great Friday!
Sincerely,
Neville Medhora
