🎤 The SWIPES Email (Friday, May 2nd, 2025)

Swipe:
We're always investing time and energy in Copywriting Course upgrading other people's pages/emails....and sometimes forget about our own!
For example here's some numbers from this past 2024:
50 Office Hours sessions
275 Office Hours Clips videos posted (questions I personally answered, re-wrote, or provided strategy for on live calls).
1,925 forum questions (questions people post on our forum, and myself and the writers give feedback or re-write stuff or guide them).
5,964 total revisions/re-writes or help on those questions.
We've currently been tweaking the site to be better this month (should be done in about 2 weeks).

Doing this stuff is so fun. Making a change and seeing results (whether good or bad) is super interesting!
Wisdom:
This is a great reminder that you can't get close to your goals if you don't try to hit the target. This post was shared on Instagram by Noah Kagan:

It says:
I’ve written 1,000+ articles, 4 have gone viral.
I’ve done 300+ YouTube videos, 5 have gone viral.
I’ve started 20 companies, 1 has worked really well.
Keep starting! 💚
- Noah Kagan
It's so true. Pretty much 100% of the people I know worth at least $10m+ have done at LEAST 8 different businesses since they were young.
Many stupid small side projects were done. But the point is to learn from each and build on that.
Interesting:
I saw this great AI newsletter signup ad with a great headline:

I really loved the "calendar style" layout it showed of what you'll learn, I thought this was a cool copy-able ideas.
Also I'm starting to see more and more good ads on Reddit. Ever since they went public it looks like they've put more effort into their advertising platform which used to suck ass but is getting better.
The full ad looked like this on Reddit:

Picture:
Ok this is embarrassing, but I promised I'd post a shirtless pic of myself on May 1st:

This is my way of creating a deadline to eat better. Only big change I made: No eating/drinking after 8pm. (sometimes 9pm if dining late).
This was shockingly good for me!
95% of the time I overdo my calories it's after 8pm.
Simply cutting out eating after this time basically stops almost all snacking and bad food decisions.
Sorry you had to see this!
Essay:
1 person will do what 10 people used to do.

Technology keeps reducing the number of people it takes to do things.
Ex 1: Travelling to a different state: In the 1850's you'd have a literal caravan of people, wagons, supplies, and horses to go anywhere. Now you can hop in a car by yourself and go anywhere. 10x to 100x reduction in labor needed.
Ex 2: Making a film someone will see: 30 years ago you'd need crews, directors, film, editors, and distribution. Now a person with an iPhone can access millions of people. A 100x reduction in labor.
Ex 3: Accounting and financial stuff: There used to be rooms full of people doing literal arithmetic and updating a chalkboard that was a "spreadsheet." Now one person can use QuickBooks or a Google Spreadsheet to do complex financial modeling for hundreds of companies at a time. A 100x reduction in labor.
Ex 4: Publishing online It used to take a team of writers and editors and SEO people to get traffic online. Now with 1 person and an AI you can replicate all that work. A 100x reduction in labor.
Every time a new technology marches in, there's some initial resistance as you can see:

However generally it's the people who embrace the technology are on the right side of history (and financial success).
Splurge:
I really liked this simple headline "Higher education at 1% of the price" I saw on a thing called Peterson Academy, and a single yearly pricing model:

I've personally always wondered what a SINGLE YEARLY PRICE would be like for Copywriting Course.
We've always done Monthly and Yearly, with each accounting for about 50% of total revenue, so it's hard to only pick one.

Also if you look at almost any companies pricing model, it's almost always "Monthly" and "Yearly" every single time.
Have a great Friday!
Sincerely,
Neville Medhora
