If I were the copywriter for a sandwich shop I'd probably make something like this 🤣
This is a restaurant called Counter Service right next door to a Five Guys Burgers restaurant.
It literally JUST says SANDWICHES ⬇ and it just stands out like crazy!
Wisdom:
One of the best ways to get headlines is by asking your customers their problems.
I'm 100% sure this Eight Sleep headline came about because so many customers said they keep "flipping their pillow at night"
They've taken a tiny annoyance and made it into a product (I already have an Eight Sleep, but mine doesn't have this cool pillow thingy and now I kinda want it) 😬
Interesting:
This is wild....there's about the same amount of AI written content now as human written:
AI-generated articles jumped from about 0% in 2022 to 52% by 2025.
That's an insane pace for the entire web to go from all-human to mostly-AI.
This has absolutely demolished some freelancers (like people writing SEO articles), but re-birthed writing as someone anyone can do quicker and easier.

One of my buddies sold his company a few years ago, and his next project is building 99% autonomous planes. How cool!
It's literally a plane designed to enter a destination, then it navigates the airport, talks to air traffic controllers, and lands at the destination with no input.
Here's some pics of it. It's called Skytron:
For smaller planes like this, one of the largest fixed costs AND sources of error is the pilots.
Imagine Tesla self driving but for the sky.....sweet!

Essay:
Since it's Halloween, I wanna show you one of my first email newsletters from 2009 for my then-company HouseOfRave.
I managed to find and old crusty image of it:
It took me HOURS to make this email, and hours more to make all those images.
The funny thing is this email results in zero sales (or at least barely any).
I was so proud of how the email LOOKED, but there was zero sales strategy behind it.
I then learned copywriting that same year, and realized this "pretty email" was positioned all wrong. That's when I re-wrote the email in all-text......and that ended up being a $10,000+ sales day.
It blew my mind and started my copywriting career.
