Here's an example where changing a few words on an email signup page took it from 2 signups a month to 200 by changing ~12 words. Here's how it went:

The cool thing is as his posts on LinkedIn keep going viral, his signup page will literally pull 100x more emails than before.

That's copywriting in action!

Wisdom:

This was a chart posted by Nathan Barry that shows his thought that focusing hard on ONE project...is better than dabbling in many projects:

I might add that if you're JUST starting out trying to build something, maybe dabbling in a bunch of random things can be helpful to see what works and what doesn't!

THEN when something is making money and gaining some traction, dive all in.

Interesting:

This is so true: You can be so much happier if you don't complain quite as much!

NOW....there's definitely good reason to complain about things at times, but if you're constantly complaining it permeates into your mind.

Your brain is heavily influenced by what it's exposed to! So if you read sad news and watch sad shows all day....you might be sad.

But if you consume happy content, happy shows, and be around happy people....you might be happy!

So make sure to carefully guard your brain against consuming tons of sad stuff all day.

This past weekend I went to an email newsletter conference in Austin, but it was also an excuse for a bunch of friends to meet up at it!

I personally love going to conferences where I'll have a lot of friends I can see, or if it's in a location I want to go to but need an excuse.

So this was a fun time and we did a bunch of other events around the conference to hang with friends and their kids. Very fulfilling :)

Essay:

This guy Matt Paulson who runs the $50m/yr company MarketBeat was walking around the conference with this shirt 😂

He actually does have a jet so it definitely strikes up conversations!

Splurge:

I use this magnetic phone stand pretty much every single day. I also keep a 2nd one in my car trunk in case we're at a party and need to take a group selfie:

I also use it for taking pictures/vids with my son, group selfies, recording videos for work, and it's an easy way to hold the phone while FaceTiming:

It's one of those things where for $40 I end up finding it super helpful every single day.

Hope you have a great Friday and great weekend!!
Sincerely,
Neville Medhora
