So here's some quick Copywriting Concepts that can make anything you write much better.

You can flip through each slide →

The concepts are as follow:

1.) Features → Benefits → Outcomes Don’t just explain what your product does, show people how their life gets better because of it.

2.) The “So What?” Test Ask “So what?” after every claim until you uncover the benefit your customer actually cares about.

3.) Specificity Beats Hype Specific numbers, examples, and details are far more believable than vague claims like “amazing” or “game-changing.”

4.) The Slippery Slide The job of every sentence is simply to make someone want to read the next sentence.

5.) AIDA Grab their Attention, build Interest, create Desire, then tell them exactly what Action to take. You can learn to be a great writer with these simple concepts. Save them!

Wisdom:

I like constantly hearing/seeing how people's marketing is going, so I'm thankful to have a thing inside Kopywriting Kourse called Office Hours.

While it's MY job to help anyone who comes to Office Hours directly with their work, I also feel honored to hear/see their numbers, what they've tried, what worked, what didn't work etc....

This helps me become more knowledgeable and stay up to date as well.

Here's some recent questions we've gone through in Office Hours:

Getting more people to a chiropractic practice through a portal, or through content? We run the numbers.

Laying out the path to land a giant AI sponsor for an event series that's had 3,000+ attendees so far.

New algorithm to analyze hundreds of startups at a time, and sell it as a service to incubators.

Running newsletters and postcards for Christmas lights installations and they’re both working super well atm.

Doing manual outreach via social media for new clients. So far it's got a bunch of clients in the door.

Running the numbers on selling a paid cohort during a live event, or just acquiring one big sponsor.

Just 18 full time clients, wondering if should pull back on getting more, or keep pressing.

Side project is making money, what are highest leverage way I can make way more?

Fun fact: Buy any subscription to Kopywriting Kourse and you can come to Office Hours.

The price of 1 year of KK is cheaper than a single private session, so it's one helluva deal!

Interesting:

This is a cool gimmick by SaaSboard where you pay money to list your startup on this grid:

make-your-icon-pop-on-a-crowded-grid-a56ab6fa.png

The funny thing is, every 5 years or so I see one of these "pixel" sites go viral, and it was all ORIGINALLY STARTED in 2005 by a 21 year old kid with a site called "Million Dollar Homepage" where you paid $1 per pixel to list your site.

It went viral (in 2005) and the kid made $1,000,000 doing this!

Random Side Note: That kid went onto co-found the giant meditation app Calm.

I find it fun how random dumb ideas like this can take off sometimes and keep being reincarnated!

Picture:

This past weekend we were at a bunch of wedding events, and my little guy got dressed up in a tuxedo 😍

He's ready to get the dance floor started:

Me & my wife & my baby

He also had an Indian outfit to wear for the ceremony:

Me & him had matching outfits:

Oh and two years ago was my wedding day (well...technically Sept 21)!

Essay:

Which of these boxer briefs do you think sells better......A or B??

Take a guess! I'll tell you after all these dots:

...

......

.........

............

...............

..................

.....................

........................

...........................

.................................

What sells the most is B. The plain grey boxer briefs.

But what gets the most attention and clicks in ads is A. The Screaming Eagle boxers!

These visually interesting boxers get WAYYYY more clicks!

They don't sell very well, but they get people in the door.

These are more boring looking, but sell much better.

These outsell the crazy looking boxers, but aren't very good for ads.

You can see the full video here:

Splurge:

So ads often suck, but if you make them FUN you can actually make them enjoyable.

I like this silly short-form cartoon series called Space Skits and every 5 or so skits will be sponsored.

The way they integrate them is really fun! Like this one for a protein drink:

....or this one for a personal injury law firm:

Hope you have a great weekend!

Sincerely,
Neville Medhora
