"Marketing" is a bit of a buzzword, but if you you break it down it means all these things:

Marketing is....
• Advertising
• Knowledge
• Targeting
• Networking
• Market Research
• Relations
• Engagement
• Innovation
• Growth

People used to specialize in just ONE of these areas, but with AI it's now possible to do so many of these together by a single person.

Wisdom:

These are some of the principles Elon Musk uses in building companies.

Not ALL of these are applicable to everyone (some are more specific to manufacturing), but there's some good lessons:

I specifically like the first one where he talks about applying this "Algorithm" over and over for all your products:

a. Question every requirement.
b. Delete any part of the process you can.
c. Simplify and optimize.
d. Accelerate cycle time.
e. Automate.

It focuses on making processes far more simple, or simply removing a process altogether.

Interesting:

This is an interesting concept by "Mr Wonderful" on the rise of getting customers from social media:

He's talking about how someone with a following can instantly make sales for a product if they recommend it, therefore are very valuable.

It's become much harder to acquire customers through SEO, social media, and paid media, so going directly for people with followings who can promote products is useful.

In this post they talk about how many companies are hiring "Heads of Content" to promote personal brands:

"Head of Content" would help someone put out different types of content, some of it promotional:

Social media used to be a joke when I was in college, and now it's literally how many businesses get much of their business.

Essay:

I used to plan out products or features on my websites very carefully because they were hard to build.

But with AI it's almost easier to one-prompt make a feature, ship it, then see if it works!

If sucks = kill. If cool = make it better.

For example I got allllll excited about making a "Hot or Not" style feature for people to browse SwipeFile.

We deployed it live in a day:

After using it for like 30 seconds, I instantly realized a crucial error:

If you're swiping on all our SwipeFile content, you might see a home page, a print ad, a quote, an infographic......it's all disjointed content!

So thanks to AI, we could then modify it to where you can do "Hot or Not" on just on section, like quotes, and it's much more coherent:

I'm not saying this Hot or Not feature is good.....but in the span of a day we were able to conceptualize it, deploy it, and make modifications.

5 years ago this would've taken many days or a week....PLUS having to make lots of mundane design decisions.

Now I can deploy stuff like this, and if after a week I realize it sucks, then get rid of it without feeling like I lost weeks of time.

Splurge:

I thought this was an awesome chart that shows how good/bad and expensive/cheap something is for your help:

It's kind of interesting that a lot of expensive health stuff like supplements and cryotherapy are actually beaten by completely free methods like rest and hydration.

Hope you have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
