Man I just love this entire Volkswagen Ad campaign, with it's irreverent ads.
This one says "No point in showing the '62 Volkswagen. It looks the same."
THIS IS HILARIOUS and so opposite of most marketing that it captures so much attention!
Wisdom:
This is so true of many successful people I know:
Example 1: I watched the painful behind-the-scenes process of a friend selling his company. It seems easy, but it was 3 months of dumb paperwork and meetings and rude lawyers. And BEFORE that it was 3 failed attempts at selling the company, each ending in disappointment.
Example 2: I've watched a friend who says he barely works lock in for 12 hours a time. To him it doesn't feel like he's "working" but in reality I don't think people would have the same stamina or appetite for working like he does.
Many people don't see the behind-the-scenes stuff of successful people, and when they give interviews a lot of the pain was often glossed over or forgotten.

I love this kind of before/after image that shows exactly what the product does!

Essay:
This is the chances of being born in a specific continent.
Being born in the USA is only 3.04% 😮
This hits me hard because my parents were born in India, and while India has changed a lot in the last few decades, when I would originally go there much of it was an actual 3rd world country.
One thing that always struck me in the early days of going to India was that my currency (USD) was 70x stronger than the Indian Rupee.
As a kid I started to understand I got to enjoy my strong currency simply because I was born in the USA.
It slowly sunk in that I was fortunate to be born in the USA for so many reasons, and I always felt it was a privilege and something to be proud of.
I always liked India, and even thought that the people there were as happy us, but I always felt very lucky to be born in the USA.
