Selling supplements in 1909

This ad from McClure’s Magazine in 1909 seems eerily familiar to the advertising promises of many modern supplements:

It’s got vague promises of better performance, and has many “science-y sounding” words like: Digestion, Phosphate, Potash, Albumen.
