There are hundreds of images and videos that show the quantity of sugar in Coke and other soft drinks.
This explainer video is better than the others because of one specific angle:
It shows the sugar in a glass.
There’s something much more powerful about representing the quantity in a drinking glass vs in other forms, like statistics or cubes or teaspoons or piles of sugar.
The “other” forms make the sugar look like some distant “thing”.
The sugar in the drinking cup makes the sugar look like something that’s about to go into your body.
Most of these images make me shrug my shoulders and go “yeah, ok, I guess that’s not great”, but the sugar in the glass actually looks pretty extreme (and pretty disgusting).
